Forté Academy of the Arts is a family oriented music school that has private music instruction with piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons, voice/singing lessons, bass lessons, six days a week all from our convenient North County location accessible off Hwy. 78 and Sycamore Avenue!
We provide a wide range of flexible hours to accommodate your family's schedule. Music lessons are monthly with no long term semester commitment.

Forté Academy has a proven track record of offering quality art and music lessons in N. San Diego County for piano, guitar, voice, singing, bass, ukulele, and drum lessons in San Diego, California year round. ​Our full time mission is teaching music lessons, trusted by over 1000 families for eight years.​​​

OUR ADDRESS: 615 Sycamore Avenue, Vista, CA 92083 We're behind Albertacos & Arco AM/PM, next door to Vista Paint. Due to its central North San Diego County location, our music school is convenient to all areas of North SD County. At our music school, we have many students who come from San Marcos, Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside, Escondido, and even Poway and Fallbrook.
3. Multiple Make-up Opportunities Each Month
Missed a lesson? Out of town? No problem. Just sign up for a master class make up session. They never expire, and you can come when it's convenient for you.

4. Month to Month Lessons
The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student is on a month-to-month basis. Tuition is month to month with no long term semester requirements. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.

5. Happy Office Staff Here to Serve You 6 days a week
We strive to bring you the best customer service possible. Our staff is here to assist you when you call or come in during all lessons. We will quickly and professionally answer all of your questions about piano, guitar, voice, singing, bass and drum lessons. Excellent customer service is what sets us apart!
6. We Offer a Picture Day For our North San Diego County Music School Students
We are a music school in North San Diego that offers a picture day for their student with a professional photographer! Examples of our music students and art students are shown on this page. Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.
7. Early & Mid-Day Lessons For Homeschoolers, Retirees, College Students & Working Professionals
Since we are the largest music school in the North County, we are able to be a 'full service' music school. This allows us to offer lessons as early as 11:30 a.m. and we see many students between the hours of 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are a homeschool parent, retiree, college student or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early lunch time lesson spots.​

8. Fantastic Performance Opportunites Every 6 Months in Our Own State of the Art Auditorium

Students at our music school in North San Diego love that we offer bi-annual recitals. Students interact with peers by participating in performances. Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and see how they are really progressing.
The best way for a parent to understand that their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to attend a recital. Recitals display and celebrate each student’s achievements in their instrument of choice including piano, guitar, violin, bass, voice/singing, drum, violin, ukulele, as well as art.
For our students these recitals are FREE. Unlike many schools in North County, we do not charge recital participation fees and we have discounted tickets for parents. At Forte Academy there are NO hidden fees.

We have an amazing team of music teachers who represent degrees and experience from around the U.S. All of our teachers have had the required background checks and many have professional performance experience. Each of our teachers has a fun, motivating personality you're sure to love! Your student can have an instructor with the right personality and teaching style that works for them.
Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With fully committed, educated and inspiring teachers, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. 11. Musician Owned and Operated
National adjudicator, professional pianist/vocalist and music director, Marla Morrison brings her belief in the value of quality music education to the forefront of the Academy's mission. She has prepared hundreds of students for auditions and acting roles for musical theater, commercials and movies, professional recordings, local, state and national competitions, and nationally televised talent shows (American Idol and The Voice.)
One of her students has been
nominated for four Grammy's! The #1 goal is to inspire your student to learn the music he/she wants to learn at his/her own pace. Making learning music FUN is the best teaching method of all!​ We never know how impacting our encouragement, instruction, and inspiration may be.
