About Our Director
Mrs. Marla Morrison is the owner/director of Forté Academy of the Arts. She has taught piano lessons and voice lessons professionally for 24 years. She is a piano and voice instructor, pianist, singer, music director, choir director, and song writer. She has professionally recorded and has served as an adjudicator for both state and national piano and voice competitions. She hand selects and provides on-going training for Forte faculty.
Her students include three-time Grammy nominated artists (2019,) music producers, church music directors, actresses, and college music professors. She teaches all ages and levels of difficulty, as well as all styles of music. Her students learn to read and play music by note, by ear, and by chord charts. She develops their song writing and arranging abilities.
Her leadership and the team's high commitment to continual learning and developing others is making Forté Academy of the Arts the premier school of music in North San Diego County with over 400 students enrolled for lessons each week at her professional, first-class, music academy.
